Training Plan - Week 1 - Jan 1 to 8

An 8-day week to start with, and as always the start of the year is an unusual week. As my plan is run and swim heavy for Q1 I might as well get in to that from the start. I have three days of Dexter to start with so the plan is to run each day, and swim when the pool is open. Then Wednesday I have to go back to work and get back into a more typical commuting plan.  

The weekend will be another swim at least and hopefully a chance to get out on the mountain bike.

The plan numbers are based on my target schedule but I have put more effort into building that this year so they will change almost every week and the bigger picture is up for review every month rather than just quarterly.


Target totals - Swim 3.0 miles. Bike 20.0 miles. Run 23.0 miles. 1 short core, 1 short light weights and 1 short stretching sessions. 20 mins of yoga.
